Surry Property improvement grant

The property improvement grant is designed to improve the exterior conditions, appearance, or structures of property owners within the town limits of the Town of Surry, VA. The program timeline will be from July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2028.

The Town will support ten residential projects of up to $2000 and  six business property projects of up to $5000. Applications must be submitted by June 30, 2028. Grants are awarded on a first-come, first-serve basis. Payments for approved projects are reimbursements made after the the project has been completed and receipts have been submitted

1. Download and complete the application below. Submit the application at the Town of Surry office.
2. Town Council will approve or deny application based on if it meets program requirements.
3. If approved, complete improvement project on property.
4. Submit receipts and proof of competion to Town of Surry office.
5. Reimbursement will be paid within 30 days of submission of proof of completion.
